This is a non-structured 3 hour open gym playtime on Tuesday each week.  The gym is open for the children to run and play around.  There will always be a coach in the gym for supervision.  Children get a chance to get a feel for the sport at their own pace. Kids can run and play in a real gym! They have balance beams, bars to swing on, rings, a giant swing, a trampoline, a parachute and lots of games.

Fresh Fruit Salsa with Honey & Poppy Seeds


Salsa or Pico de Gallo is traditionally a savory mixture of tomatoes, peppers, onion and cilantro, we used the same method and made a fresh fruit version! This can be made with any of your favorite fruits, the addition of honey and poppy seeds added a bit of sweetness and some extra crunch.  Fruit salsa can be used as a dip for chips or as a topping for pancakes, waffles, grilled or roasted meats and desserts!

Macaroni Fun

Make your next walk a hunt for specific colors (try this any time of the year). This is an easy project that can be made very simple as your time/ materials/ patience demands.

You’ll need:
  • An empty egg carton
  • Paints and paintbrushes
Paint the inside of an egg carton different colors. Encourage the children to mix colors together or add black or white to create different hues.
